Facility Opening and New Manager

The metro district board and the new family center manager have been working to figure out how best to reopen amid the covid-19 pandemic. Our greatest concerns are safety, respect, and utility. We must do what we can to keep the facility safe and respect our residences varying opinions. We also want to open as early as possible. For these reasons, we will be opening in stages. The first thing to open will be the fitness room.

With the change from the YMCA we have a new system and a new liability waiver that must be signed to use our facilities. If you sign up to use the fitness room, we will start your new membership profile with that information, but we ask that you bring proof of residency on your first visit. This can be anything from a bill with your address on it to your drivers license or other id.

COVID-19 Rules

The Governors Office has stated that we must restrict the number of occupants in our rooms and clean between users. We will be requesting visitors of the family center to help keep every safe by allowing us to take your temperature at check in. If you are sick, we ask that you avoid visiting the building. In order to be able to use the facility, you will need to reserve the space and time. In the beginning only residents of Belle Creek will be allowed to schedule a time; drop-in visits of people from other communities will come later. We ask that you wear a mask while in the building with the exception of the fitness room.

New Manager & Team

Check out the team page to learn more about the new faces you will find at the Family Center. I will be getting to know most of them in the weeks and months ahead, but I would like to introduce everyone to Kyle Burnett - the new Belle Creek Facility Manager. Kyle has many years experience running facilities. He worked as the director of operations for the Denver Botanic Gardens and the Butterfly Pavilions for many years. He also worked for Puzzle Effect escape rooms working with teams and building leadership. We are very lucky to have been able to hire someone with his experience.

We also are very fortunate to have a new Event Coordinator in Andrea Vest. She has many years experience developing events with the Belle Creek Charter School. She brings experience and passion to this role. I have worked with her on several events in 2019 and she has already been busy getting food trucks and sharing at-home activities with the community online.
